Sports: for some, a trivial diversion; for many others, a way to perceive and experience something greater than ourselves. An opportunity to break away from the ordinary and catch a glimpse of the extraordinary and transcendent, even if only in forty-eight-minute increments. Over a ten-year span, for two friends, it becomes a means to articulate everything they would otherwise be unable to express.
