Let’s Play Together Music Performance at Oak Forest Neighborhood Library

Join YAH Teaching Artist Joseph Dixon for an inclusive and engaging performance where children of all abilities come together to explore storytelling, music, and teamwork. Participants will learn the basics of a story (character, setting, plot), discover the history of percussion instruments like the Djembe, and experience the elements of music, including timbre and dynamics. The session concludes with a vibrant community drum circle, celebrating diversity and the unique strengths of each instrument and participant. It’s a fun, creative journey promoting acceptance, respect, and connection through music!
