Public Lecture with Dr. Ruth J. Simmons

Join Holocaust Museum Houston for a presentation from Dr. Ruth J. Simmons on her upbringing in Jim Crow-era Texas and how that affected her career in academia. A Distinguished Presidential Fellow at Rice University and Senior Adviser to the President of Harvard University on HBCU Initiatives, Dr. Simmons served as President of Prairie View A&M University until March 2023. Dr. Simmons’ memoir, “Up Home,” is a “New York Times” bestseller.
