There’s no shortage of stressors in difficult times. This six-session series provides an introduction to mindfulness meditation and mindful awareness practices, with a view to taking the edge off. In the first three weeks, you will learn and experience grounding (focusing) your mind in your body – through breath, sound, and body sensations, while in stillness and while moving. The last three weeks offer specific practices for being with physical pain, emotional challenges, and difficult thinking. Join us as we explore the benefits of mindfulness practices decreases in stress and anxiety, improvements in attention and the ability to regulate our emotions and behavior, and increases in our general well-being.
