Ayurveda for the Mind (In Person)

July 18 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$40

Discover an ancient, holistic approach to mental and emotional health.

What does it mean that the sanskrit word for “perfect health” – “svastha” – can also mean to be “established in the self”? What role might connecting with a spiritual awareness play in how we navigate our culinary indulgences and avoid foods that do not really nourish us – or even negatively affect our health? Though steeped in the ancient medicinal traditions of India, Ayurveda is applicable to modern life. Join chef Karuna Diedericks for an exploration of the Ayurvedic idea that longevity and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. In this introduction to an ancient, holistic approach to mental and emotional health, you will also learn foods and herbs that are used to release stress and enhance clarity and peace of mind.

A cooking demonstration and sampling of dishes is included in your registration!
